AI4COPSEC and CROSSMARE address these challenges from complementary perspectives. AI4COPSEC applies advanced AI and data-fusion methods to enhance Copernicus Security Services, while CROSSMARE develops cross-domain interoperability, sensing, AI-assisted decision support and CISE-compliant information-sharing capabilities for more connected maritime surveillance.

This workshop, the first joint workshop organised by CROSSMARE and the first in collaboration with AI4COPSEC , will examine how AI-driven risk assessment can help detect and interpret complex maritime situations, from unusual fishing activity to sensitive cross-border movements. It will also explore how resulting insights can be securely shared across borders and agencies to enable more coordinated and effective action.
